Sara Zúñiga Calderón graduated in Ecological Tourism at the University of Costa Rica.
She has worked for nine years on the National Protected Natural Areas System of her country, in a protected forest area. During her professional career, she has had the chance to implement various conservation programs and has undertaken productive actions through the use of ecosystem services offered by protected natural areas.
She also implemented a 10-year protected forest area management plan.
