Norma Alexandra Gómez Girón is a forestry engineer from the University of Cauca (Colombia).
She has a Master’s Degree in Natural Resource Management and experience in participatory ecological restoration. In this field, she was responsible for technical environmental, social and community coordination in search of actions based on water, land and forest management.
She has worked with rural and indigenous communities within the Munchique National Natural Park (Colombia). She has also supported workshops on the effective analysis of management in 18 protected natural areas together with the NGO WWF.
She is also the manager of an alliance for the declaration of eight new protected natural areas in Colombia, for which she is responsible for ensuring financial, technical and operational efficiency in the development of said declaration.
