Floro Ortiz (Peru) is a biologist specializing in zoology from the National University of San Marcos (Peru).
He has over five years of professional experience in positions related to environmental management, such as researcher, supervisor and consultant.
As a researcher, he took part in biological conservation and evaluation projects in coastal, puna and forest ecosystems. He was also in charge of environmental management during construction of a hydropower plant and took part in various Environmental and Social Impact Studies, as well as in ecotourism, mining and energy projects.
As part of his master’s degree, he completed an internship at the La Palma Island Biosphere Reserve, in the Canary Islands.
