Daysy Ángeles Barrantes (Peru) has a Degree in Tourism Administration from San Ignacio de Loyola University (Peru).
With a Master’s Degree in Environmental Management and Ecotourism, specializing in Policy Design, she has 13 years of experience at private and public bodies within the tourism sector of her home country. Since 2013, she has been in charge of the Protected Natural Area Tourism Management Department, where she is responsible for establishing and implementing tourism policies as a natural area conservation strategy.
She has worked as the Head of Social Responsibility and Inclusive Business Projects for a tour operator. She has also designed sustainable tourism projects in various communities.
During the course of her master’s degree, she worked with the Autonomous Authority for National Parks on designing a sustainable tourism strategy for the Biosphere Reserves of Spain.
